In January 2020, Blue Light opened a new studio on the North Shore of Boston, only to have to close her doors 3 months later at the onset of COVID in the US. Like so many other others, Blue Light pivoted to teaching and connecting online. Although there is nothing like human touch or sharing physical space, transitioning Blue Light to a virtual platform has brought her larger community, from far and wide, back together, and allowed her to grow beyond local limits. Blue Light online is here to stay.
Here, on Hey Marvelous, you will find access to Blue Light Movement classes, workshops and trainings; Enrichment classes; and Collaborations.

Blue Light Yoga is a 75-minute vinyasa class. BLY was born out of the Ashtanga practice and grew into a unique vinyasa practice that is always fresh and relevant. BLY emphasizes creativity, flow, alignment, music and heart. BLY classes are challenging yet accessible; familiar yet surprising; soft yet powerful; and always a journey with a beginning, middle, and end. BLY is an intentional, loving and courageous practice that asks students to balance their strengths and vulnerabilities. There is no right or wrong in BLY; the practice cultivates the inner teacher.
CAKE is a layered practice that manifested after 20 years of Georgia practicing asana, barre, and life. It is a 60-minute, high-intensity, low-impact class that requires nothing but your bare feet, space to move, and a willingness to jump in. It focuses on strengthening and stabilizing, and lighting up new, under-utilized neuron pathways between the mind and body. The class is layered: back body first, front body second, cardiovascular third, topped with yoga. This class is essential for the maintenance of our bodies. A regular CAKE practice will show up EVERYWHERE, on and off your mat. The idea is take this class, and you can have your cake and eat it too!
Georgia has been practicing asana for over twenty years, teaching for fifteen. She practices asana because it connects her to herself, the here and now, and others; and it is a gateway to her spiritual practice. She teaches asana because she believes in its transformative and healing powers. After two decades of training in a multitude of disciplines, she has honed an authentic practice and method of teaching centered on thoughtful, informed alignment; smart, fun, creative sequencing; and an intentional balance between exertion and restoration. She teaches what she knows. She shares what inspires her. She is committed to paying attention, engaging, and often, gently pushing her students. Her intention is for her students to be inspired and to learn in every class.
Georgia began her training in Ashtanga in Bristol, Vermont in 2000. She received her 200-hour certification in Vinyasa Yoga in 2006 at Sonic Yoga in New York City. In October 2010, she completed an advanced training in The Art of Teaching Kula Flow with Schuyler Grant. Between 2006 and 2015, she taught at multiple studios in New York City and Boston, including South Boston Yoga where she was a senior teacher for seven years. Georgia has taught at Wanderlust and Kripalu, and led multiple retreats, workshops, and teacher trainings, including the Wanderlust Boston Teacher Training and South Boston Yoga Advanced Teacher Training. Currently, she teaches Blue Light Yoga and CAKE classes at her virtual studio located on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
